A day at the Lake

Belle hanging on and smiling big for the camera

My hottie on the boat

Tre being thrown off the boat (he wasn't hurt...feelings or otherwise)

Jer, Tre, and Belle swimming

Belle jumping in the water from the back of the boat which she did probably 50 times

What isn't shown is Jer and I wake boarding, the kids being pulled on the tubes, and all the junk food we ate while floating on Jordanelle Reservoir. Thanks to great friends, Scott and Chelsea, for inviting us to play with them on their boat!

Summer=blue ice cream mustaches

This was Belle's reward for smiling for family pictures. Which is a whole other blog post in it's self. I just loved the way that these pictures capture a childhood summer.

Before and After

I just got my hair done. Not sure if I LOVE it but it does make my face look not as skinny. I went way blond this time and I am kinda diggin' it. What do you think? I also cut bangs but had to put them up today.

Memory Tag!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. This is super fun!

Annual Evan's Family Reunion

Aahh, family reunions! Gotta love em' you know? Here is how it goes. First you must find a park big enough to hold all 3,594 of us. Then you make food assignments so there is enough food to feed an army, bring a couple outdoor games, print off puzzles and treasure hunts for the kids to play, hire a square dancing caller and have country dancing, have Grandma to tell stories of when she was a little girl (this part is mandatory that you be there), and don't forget the name tags!

I had fun of course. I love getting together with my crazy family and talking. Although I tend to stick to my favorites. Emily, Lori, Lisa, Kara, Steph, Jeff, and Chris. I like Uncle Tom too. He's always good for a laugh. Tom asked Kara what she was drinking after she finished "The Boot Scoot and Boogie" line dance. She said it was water....he had to smell it too make sure. You'd probably have to be there and know them to think it was funny, but it was.

So, Belle fell out of a tree, got wet in the canal then rolled through the dirt and sand, ate 5 popsicles, got to feed the goats and a cow, and became a true cowgirl on the dance floor. Tre played ladder ball with the boys, was too old for the kid dancing and story telling, milked a cow, decided he wasn't too old to line dance, and got to climb on the roof of the pavilion to retrieve Uncle Tom's hat.

Here are some photos of our fun:

"I can ride my bike with no training wheels, no training wheels, no training wheels..."

Belle is 5 years old and zipping around on her bike with no training wheels. We are so proud of her. She is proud of herself as well. Now it's time to buy myself a bike so I can ride along side of her instead of trying to run 10 mph to stay with her!

Today I took the kids to the Jordan Parkway for some bike riding practice without worry of cars or streets to cross. I got in a GREAT workout BTW. Wow! It's a good thing she is learning how to stop and get off on her own because I could barely keep up with that girl!

Craft Time

Today the kids and I did Fourth of July crafts. We made red, white and blue flip flops and firework t-shirts. I spent SO much more money than I would have if I would have just bought already made shirts and flip flops, but the quality time and uniqueness of these items was totally worth it. Here are some pictures of our day.

If you are interested in where the idea came for the shirts, click here. The flip flops were a packaged craft from JoAnns. The flip flops are only $0.50 right now!

Tre and Belle had such a great time doing these crafts, I may have to plan more!
