Iron Man

We went to this movie on Monday and I just have to say that I love it! Probably one of the best movies of the year, in my opinion. I didn't have any desire to see this movie at first but it got great reviews so we went. Tre and Belle liked it too. Maybe a little violent for them but not much more than Transformers was. I give it 5 stars!

Thanks Josh and Maura!

Papa, Nana, and Tre 05/2008

Yesterday we celebrated Tre's birthday at Nana and Papa's house. Aunt Heather gave Tre this really great remote control car. After begging Tre not to break it in the first day (he's kinda rough on his toys) it ended up breaking....but it wasn't Tre's fault. We had gone to see the progress on Heather's new house and while we were there Josh was playing with it and it snapped in half. He tried to glue it, but as soon as Tre started playing with it again it just came apart.

He didn't know that Josh had broken it and was really upset because he thought it was his fault. Carson also thought he was in trouble for breaking the car. We talked to Tre and told him that it wasn't his fault (not that it helped stop his tears) and told his it was okay, that we would find another car and replace it.

So, we go home and the doorbell rings. Jer and Tre answer it and it's Josh with a brand new remote control truck that's about twice the size. Wow! What a great uncle. Thanks again.

Belle's Preschool "Gradulations"

I am so proud of you Belle. You've finished preschool and are well on your way to starting Kindergarten in the Fall. Your teacher, Miss Mikki, says your an angel in the class. You play nicely with the other kids, you are a fast learner, and you listen well. You have many friends including Kjell (who just happens to be your soccer buddy and your boyfriend) and love to see them every day. Miss Mikki gave all the preschoolers a Webkins stuffed animal as a graduation present, much to the kids' delight. Here are a few pictures from graduation that was held in the conference room in Cabela's.

Before the ceremony we played the "shooting game". You cannot walk into Cabela's without playing at least one set of tokens on this game. I admit, it is kinda fun!

Tre was so proud of his sister!

Top 10

Top 10 reasons I LOVE being a mom:

  1. Tre and Belle, of course

  2. hugs from tiny arms

  3. getting to read Dr. Seuss over and over

  4. an excuse to play on the playground, tramp, or McDonald's playland

  5. trips to the Zoo, Lagoon, the Aquarium, Clark Planetarium, the Children's Museum, etc.

  6. knowing someone needs me

  7. watching Disney and other kid related movies

  8. snuggling

  9. shopping for clothes, shoes, etc. because the kids grew out of the old stuff

  10. and last but not least...Tre and Belle (again)!

Top 10 reasons I don't love being a mom:

  1. Sponge Bob Square Pants

  2. dealing with fighting

  3. worrying about their safety constantly

  4. wondering if I am doing a good job

  5. hoping they turn out okay

  6. disciplining

  7. cleaning up messes

  8. reading Dr. Seuss over and over

  9. homework

  10. eating the kids leftovers...I just can't stop myself!

All in all I would take being a mom over anything....ANYTHING. I love my kids, and love my life. Thanks to Tre and Belle for making my life interesting, fun, entertaining, and enjoyable.

Imagine

My cute little butterfly! Great story....I asked Anabelle to clean up her room (it was a complete mess) and she of course complains and tells me she wants someone to clean it with her. I asked her who helped her make the mess and she said it was her imaginary friends. I really need to have a talk with those people. So I told her to have her imaginary friends help clean her room since they made the mess. And she says, in her whiny voice, "but they're only IMAGINARY!". I asked her again who made the mess and she tells me the same thing, that her imaginary friends did it. So I tell her again to ask them to help her. Again, she tells me they are not real so can't help her clean her room. Talk about leading a double life.

Sick

First it started with Belle. Now both Tre and Jer have it. I am official caretaker. We've got the throw up bowls out, tissues all over the house, and the T.V. on constantly. Poor guys! I just hope I don't get it. YUCK!
