Can't wait!

I am so excited for the movie Twilight to come out. But I'm torn...on the one hand I'm really excited to see how they turn the book into a movie, how the characters look, how the special effects turn out, if it follows the book or has other tangents, etc. On the other hand, I also don't want the producers and actors to ruin the book for me. I have yet to watch a movie after reading the book where I liked the movie better. I always like the way my brain develops the characters, settings, and story. When someone else tells me how it's supposed to be I don't like it.

So, that's my dilemma! I really can't wait though. I've re-read the book just so I know what is done differently. I already disagree with how some of the characters look in the movie verses what I think they should look like. To name a few:

Alice--I think she should be smaller with really really short spiky hair unlike her trailer pics

Edward--I pictured him more gorgeous in a timeless fashion. Think Patrick Dempsey with blondish hair. I also pictured him a little bigger (more muscular and taller)

Rosalie--sure she's pretty in the movie, but I really pictured a timeless character like Scarlett Johansson (but prettier)

Emmet--Really! He should be as big as the black guy in Green Mile.

They did do a fantastic job in casting Bella though. She's kinda bratty in real life but we'll just overlook that as long as she does the character justice in the movie. Jacob also is good. I just can't wait for him to grow up a little and not look so boyish. You know, since I am a Jacob fan!

So I'd like to get your opinions about the cast, the movie itself, and your thoughts on "team Edward" and "team Jacob"

Iron Man

We went to this movie on Monday and I just have to say that I love it! Probably one of the best movies of the year, in my opinion. I didn't have any desire to see this movie at first but it got great reviews so we went. Tre and Belle liked it too. Maybe a little violent for them but not much more than Transformers was. I give it 5 stars!

Top 10

Top 10 reasons I LOVE being a mom:

  1. Tre and Belle, of course

  2. hugs from tiny arms

  3. getting to read Dr. Seuss over and over

  4. an excuse to play on the playground, tramp, or McDonald's playland

  5. trips to the Zoo, Lagoon, the Aquarium, Clark Planetarium, the Children's Museum, etc.

  6. knowing someone needs me

  7. watching Disney and other kid related movies

  8. snuggling

  9. shopping for clothes, shoes, etc. because the kids grew out of the old stuff

  10. and last but not least...Tre and Belle (again)!

Top 10 reasons I don't love being a mom:

  1. Sponge Bob Square Pants

  2. dealing with fighting

  3. worrying about their safety constantly

  4. wondering if I am doing a good job

  5. hoping they turn out okay

  6. disciplining

  7. cleaning up messes

  8. reading Dr. Seuss over and over

  9. homework

  10. eating the kids leftovers...I just can't stop myself!

All in all I would take being a mom over anything....ANYTHING. I love my kids, and love my life. Thanks to Tre and Belle for making my life interesting, fun, entertaining, and enjoyable.

Random Thoughts...

Things always happen for a reason.

Kids grow up way too fast.

It takes a semi-crisis to bring you closer to your significant other.

Time FLIES whether your having fun or not.

Self esteem comes from within, but needs outside encouragement.

Dedication and hard work doesn't always guarantee success when you have to depend on others.

Love grows stronger when things get exciting.

Kids grow up way too fast.

Children amaze me daily.

A vacation never lasts as long as you'd like, but it builds memories which last forever.

If you can't be strong for your family, who will?

It's the little details in life that make up the big picture.

Kids grow up way too fast.

Happiness is the only way to go.
